If your customers are raising concerns about speech quality issues – echo, background noise, packet loss for example – the H-QMON will be of interest to you, and especially for your service personnel involved with VoIP and network applications.
Inserted between the telephone and the handset H-QMON permits high quality two channel (Transmit and Receive) recordings to be made.
The built in 1GB flash memory permits up to 86 minutes of recording time, even at 48 kHz sampling rate. The included high-quality headphones permit on the spot playback of your recordings, either in Receiving direction, Sending direction or both.
Once the problem speech signal is captured, it is easily downloaded to a laptop via USB for further listening or objective analysis using the ACQUA Advanced Communication Quality Analysis system from HEAD acoustics.
This is only the start of the H-QMON feature set. Future extensions are planned including
- An External Time signal input via the “Ext In” socket already provided.
- Your test signals will be loaded into an H-QMON so that two units, controlled from a laptop, will monitor conditions between any two points in your network. This will permit such measurements as one-way speech quality based on PESQ or TOSQA as well as double talk characteristics.
Here is the tool to nail down those perplexing customer service complaints and to demonstrate your prompt response. You can even loan an H-QMON unit to your customer so that they can capture recordings for you. There is no real learning curve with this device – a simple record key will start and stop your recordings.
