HEAD acoustics is well known in the noise and vibration community for
their pioneering efforts in artificial head (Aachen Head) technology and psychoacoustic
workstations that are the standard for evaluation of product Sound Quality.
The artificial heads or HEAD Measurement Systems allow for binaural recordings
that provide exceptional realism or "virtual reality" when played
back. By listening to binaural recordings while analyzing data on the
ArtemiS analysis system, the operator can quickly identify and troubleshoot
noise problems and select the best metrics for noise evaluation. HEAD
acoustics has expanded from their base of "binaural" products
to offer multichannel
analyzers to handle virtually any noise and vibration test requirement,
including FFT and 1/3 Octave analyzers, order analysis, Zwicker Loudness,
and other psychoacoustics measurements.
