This new (2007) full-day course replaces the half-day SQlab course offered in previous years, and covers the four HEAD acoustics recorder software products: HEAD Audio Recorder, Online Analyzer (ArtemiS ToolPack 08), and HEAD Recorder. Students are invited to bring their own software/hardware systems; a limited number of systems will be provided by HEAD acoustics, Inc.
The course will cover use of the various recorder applications with appropriate front ends and will include the front end properties, settings and use.
- HEAD Sensor Explorer: define and manage sensors to be used in these recorder applications.
- Step-by-step organization, setup and operation of the recording applications with appropriate front ends:
- Purpose and operating concept of each application
- Assigning/connecting/managing sensors
- Displaying and running "live" analyses (not available in HEAD Audio Recorder)
- Making and saving time-data recordings
- Calibration
- Playback
- Making and saving setups and workspaces
- HMS III/BEQ II; control of both the recorder and HEAD/BEQ
- Use of the SQuadriga Reader download software tool
- HEAD Recorder Flow Control and its programming
- Step-by-step organization and operation of the Online Analyzer:
- Operating concept and capabilities
- Step-by-step example with a modal acquisition project
- Setting up; triggering and windowing, pretriggers
- "Live" analyses onscreen
- Creation and storage of multiple results
- Relationship of Online Analyzer to an ArtemiS Project
- Use of the degree-of-freedom (DOF) Scheduler
- Saving and using workspaces
- Exporting results to other software systems, such as ME'scope™
